Lego Robotics is for students in grades 6-12 who are interested in learning how to create and program their team’s robot to perform different tasks. Lead by a team of IBM volunteers, students will learn how to construct, program, and test their robots. Each week, there will be a new project for students to complete in order to practice different functions of their robot. We will host a parent night for students to show their families what they have learned about robotics and programming. There will also be one competition event at RCTC in early December.
Practices - Tuesdays from 3:15-5:00 (first practice September 17th)
Parent Night - Date TBD at 5:30 in the 5-12 Commons (cafeteria)
Competition Date - December 11th at RCTC Fieldhouse
Sign-Up - outside Ms. Solberg's room (room 221) - deadline to sign up - Friday, Sept. 13th
Permission Slip - permission slips will be available at practices. Permission slips are due by (date TBD). Students can not attend a meet if their permission slip has not been returned.
