We made it to a new month and I am excited to share another story with you all. I am also bringing back the line song we listened to back in the fall. I felt like practicing all the different types of lines by drawing a LINE MONSTER! I hope you all enjoy creating again this week. This week I am sharing a story about Horace Pippin. I am also adding Scribbles and Ink again since it has been a while since we have talked about this art website! What are you going to draw or create this week? Look at the picture of Horace and what he is drawing on his canvas. Our ideas come to life on paper and that is one of the many reasons art is so powerful!

Hey Artists! I hope you all are well. We are in the month of February which means we are celebrating Black History Month. This month lets us focus more intentionally on Black accomplishments and history. Since this is art we are very lucky to learn about Black Artists this month and throughout the year! This week I felt like painting. I encourage you to try painting too! I used watercolor but maybe you have other types of paint or you can always paint with markers! I thought about the primary and secondary colors as I painted. Happy Creating and enjoy the song while you make art!

Since this is our first week back from winter break. I thought we can recap how Art can help us express our emotions and ideas. We read the Color Monster the first week of school and I thought it could helps us again think about how we are feeling as we enter a NEW YEAR. What colors do you like? This week since we are 3 days away from winter break I thought we could listen to a story about a snow person (snowman). We just had snow last week and maybe some of you made a snowman/person yourself! After if you want you can draw with me as I make a wintery penguin!
