The Art Department at Central High School provides each student a unique opportunity to develop creativity and purpose through a variety of course offerings. There are multiple studio-classrooms with over 3000 square feet of work space, including printmaking presses, clay pottery wheels, and kilns. There are also private studio spaces for AP Art students and IB Art as well as a Mac lab solely used for the instruction of Digital Design and the Photo & Film courses.
Visual art students produce award-winning work. Students’ artworks have received numerous Gold and Silver Keys through Scholastic Arts & Writing.
