PGVIM ASEAN Music Showcase 2023

The PGVIM ASEAN Musical Identities course is a subject in the Bachelor of Music Programme that focuses on music from Southeast Asia. It covers various topics, including musical concepts, the role of musical instruments and musicians, the relationship between music and society, cultural transmission, and the policies that affect music in ASEAN. 

Since 2019, Silpathorn Artist Anant Narkkong and Asst Prof Dr Suppabhorn Suwanpakdee have combined live and online performance activities to help students explore interesting songs. They then arrange, rehearse, and perform the songs to showcase the sounds of Southeast Asia and the culture behind them.
