The National Technical Honor Society is an educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education. As the honor society for Career & Technical Education, NTHS serves over 100,000 active members annually in both secondary and postsecondary chapters across the country.
Since its founding in 1984, nearly 1 million students have become NTHS alumni. NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides close to $300,000 in scholarships annually, and strives to help connect education and industry to build a highly skilled workforce.

To be eligible for membership in the National Technical Honor Society, students must meet the national membership criteria, in addition to any additional membership criteria established by the local chapter.
Candidate must be a student participating in or completed a CTE pathway
A minimum overall 3.0 CTE specific unweighted GPA

What is the LAPSEN Endorsement?
NTHS serves as the honor society for Career and Technical Education and provides national recognition for students excelling in their CTE programs. The LAPSEN Endorsement offers students in the Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security (LPSCS) Career Cluster an opportunity to add industry specific recognition to their membership for their performance in the LPSCS field.
