Hello there! I am so excited to be your school librarian. This will be my 5th year as Librarian at South Elementary! It is my 16th year in education! I taught in the classroom for 10 years at Beazley and 1 year in Chesterfield County. (Grades 1, 2, 3, and 5!)
This year, my goal is to continue helping every single South Star (students, staff, and families) fall in love with reading! I look forward to another year filled with reading fun!
When I'm not in the library, I love spending time with my husband (Rick), our two boys (Sam and Max), my Mom, our hamster, Nari, and our dog, Maeby. I also love music and photography.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies at Longwood University and completed my Masters of Education in School Librarianship in December 2022. I am endorsed by the state of Virginia to teach grades PK-6 and School Librarianship K-12 and will soon embark on the adventure of becoming Nationally Certified.

This is my fourth year with Prince George County, and I’m thrilled to continue sharing my passion for books with our amazing students, teachers, and staff. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and aspire to pursue a Master’s in English or Creative Writing.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ricky, and our two dogs—Deckard, a curious dachshund, and Clover, a sweet beagle. I also love exploring my creative side through photography, sewing, and various crafts. As an avid reader, I’m aiming to read 100 books this year and look forward to the adventures each story brings.
I’m excited to help students explore, learn, and grow in a library that’s welcoming to all. Let’s make this year unforgettable, one page at a time!
