This is year three in the Library at South Elementary! While this is my third year as librarian, it is my 14th in education! I taught in the classroom for 10 years at Beazley and 1 year in Chesterfield County. (Grades 1, 2, 3, and 5!) This year, my goal is to continue helping every single South Star (students, staff, and families) fall in love with reading! I look forward to another year filled with reading fun!

When I'm not in the library, I love spending time with my husband (Rick), our two boys (Sam and Max), my bestfriend named MOM! and our dog (Maeby). I also love music and photography. 

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies at Longwood University completed my Masters of Education in School Librarianship in December 2022. I am endorsed by the state of Virginia to teach grades PK-6 and School Librarianship K-12 and will soon embark on the adventure of becoming Nationally Certified. 

This is only my second year with Prince George County but the library has always felt like home to me! I have a Bachelors of the Arts in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and would like to earn a Masters in Library Sciences or Counseling someday soon.

When I'm not at school (or reading), I love spending time with my husband (Ricky), our dachshund (Deckard), and our beagle (Clover). I dabble in photography and sewing specifically but I like to try anything crafty! I also read as often as I can. My goal this year is to read 75 books! I can't wait to read, learn, and grow with you all!
