1)What do you know? I know that The Day of the Dead is a holiday that is celebrated on November 1 and 2.
2) What "preguntas" do you have? How is it celebrated in Mexico? What’s the deal with all the skeletons? and What’s the mood for the holiday?
3) What did you learn? In Spanish it means Día de los Muertos, it is honouring dead loved ones and making peace with the eventuality of death by treating it familiarly, without fear and dread.

1) What do you know? Day of the Dead is a celebration of remembering a friend or family member. This celebration is mainly used in Mexico.
2) What "preguntas" do you have? Is there a significant meaning behind the skulls? Do other religions like Judaism or Islam believe in the Day of the Dead? How was this holiday created?
3) What did you learn?
I learned that the “ofrendas” are supposed to attract the souls of the dead. I learned that the holiday spans two days, not just one. I learned that the holiday was born from ancient Aztec and Catholic celebrations of the dead.
