Women's History is Timeless!
So, what women inspire you?
My mom because she is so hard working and she is raising two spoiled kids who get everything under the sun. She is always so tired, and still keeps going.
~ Kennedi (8th)
One woman that has inspired me the most was Harriet Tubman because she helped slaves escape and became a spy during the Civil war. She was able to help her people be free like her. ~ Joyce (8th)
A women that has inspired me is my grandma because shes a hard working person she's a caring person and I would also look up to my mom she was a good persona and also hard working and she always took good care of me. ~ Dayana (8th)
Rosa parks inspired me because I liked the way she didn't give up her seat for a white man. She was tired from working the day and night shifts. ~ Anaiya (8th)
As it pertains to women, what issue is the most important in our society?
I feel like women sometimes go through a lot of sexism. Some men think women are weak, and they can abuse them. Also, there are less job opportunities. ~Dayana
Women are considered soft and not capable to do most things men can do when we can do a lot more! ~ Kennedi

Mental health
by Samiyah (8th)
Mental health problems can affect anyone as young as the age of 9 years old. Since the pandemic began suicide rates and mental health crises have been skyrocking.
Suicide is close to being a number one cause of death in children and teens across the United States of America. One in five children, either currently or at some point during their life, have had a seriously debilitating mental health issue. Children shouldn't have to be affected by this. Mental and physical health are equally important components of overall health. For example, depression increases the risk for many types of physical health problems. Mental illnesses are among the most common health conditions in the United States.
TYPES OF MENTAL HEALTH
