A suite of web-based messaging and collaboration tools used on personal computing devices (i.e. Chromebooks), which include:
Mail – communicate with teachers and peers
Calendar – keep due dates organized
Drive – online file storage and collaboration tools (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, forms, and more)
Sites - collaborative websites
Classroom – a virtual platform that helps students manage assignments and have class discussions.
Students will only be allowed to communicate with other students and teachers who are members of the PGCPS network and will not be allowed to send and receive emails from the outside world through G Suite. PGCPS also has tools in place to ensure the appropriate use of G Suite and to help prevent cyberbullying.
All students are expected to adhere to the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook as well as the Acceptable Use Policy.
Students have easy access to their documents, spreadsheets, and presentations within Google Drive. In addition, students have additional storage for other files they may need to use between home and school. As the use of PGCPS G Suite continues, there may be other features that are added within G Suite for Education.
