STEAM Mobile Resources

Thanks for your interest in the TIS Mobile STEAM Lab Resources. Our goal is to provide schools with access to equipment that will support their K-12 technology and curriculum goals by providing educators with access to technology equipment, leveraging learning experiences and content connections, providing opportunities for real-world connections and problem-solving, and promoting the building of various skills for the future.  To support this goal, the  TIS STEAM Mobile Resources is a lending library of technology equipment is available for check out

The equipment includes multiple class sets of SPHERO robotics and electronic building blocks. Specialists and ITC's can support schools in selecting and implementing equipment in all content areas, not just technology or STEM classes.

Completion of the STEAM Mobile Lab Equipment Checkout Certification Course is required before check-out can be processed for the 2026-2027 school year. All materials checked out need to be returned in working condition. Prior to receiving our STEAM materials, review the resources below and make sure all required applications are loaded on teacher and student devices.

STEAM Mobile Lab Available Resources

• SPHERO BOLT: Meet the Sphero BOLT, your glowing globe of genius! This illuminated brainiac on wheels dazzles with a programmable LED matrix, letting you code colorful light shows while it rolls and spins. It's like having a disco ball and a robot merged into one brilliant buddy!

• SPHERO RVR+: Say hello to the Sphero RVR+, your all-terrain robotic explorer ready for epic coding quests! This tough little adventurer can roll through indoor mazes or outdoor obstacles, packed with cool sensors to help you program exciting missions wherever your imagination takes you!

• DASH ROBOTS: Students can watch their virtual coding turn into tangible learning experiences in real time as Dash, with its performance and multiple sensors, interacts with and responds to its surroundings.

• CUBELETS Curiosity: Support students on their journey through robotics and computational thinking. Each cube has a specific skill. Have students create a machine with a purpose.

• MAKEY MAKEY: Students will learn the power of a "closed circuit" as they use that knowledge to complete different tasks and functions. This resource is perfect for collaboration!

• LITTLE BITS RVR TOPPER: The littleBits Topper Kit is an awesome way to bring your inventions to life! It teams up the amazing Sphero RVR+ robot with the super-easy littleBits magnetic building blocks. This kit lets you use all the cool features of the RVR+ and easily add your own creative ideas with littleBits.

The Mobile STEAM Resource Library will begin accepting resource checkout requests on Monday, September 7, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
