Canvas Quick Start for Central Office
This session introduces the main features of Canvas to prepare Central Office staff to use Canvas for professional learning purposes. Learn about the Professional Learning Course Template, how to create a PL master course, import and edit content, create assignments and how prepare a course for learners. The session also reviews the connection between Canvas and eDoctrina Self-Paced courses.

Apply the PGCPS Community template
Use modules and pages to organize and share resources
Create Announcements to keep your audience informed
Use Assignments to collect resources from your audience
Allow participants to self-enroll

Open the Canvas Dashboard
Select Start a New Course
Select Manually - Created Courses
Type in Course Name
Select Create
Access Commons.
Search Professional Learning Template.
Select the Template.
Select Import/Download.
Select the Course you want to add the template to.
Select Import.
