The Future Ready Schools Framework is research-based framework that helps districts guide their transition to a digital environment, while remaining focused on a personalized learning approach for students. There are seven areas of focus called gears that help work around specific areas.
Our support is focused on providing resources and strategies to support schools to personalize student learning.
For the 2019-2020 school year, the following minimum expectations have been set as we continue to advance toward our goal:
Ensure that all of teachers are using the PGCPS curriculum for lessons;
Build a culture that helps staff and students feel comfortable taking risks in using technology to support instruction;
Provide staff with regular opportunities for technology professional development;
Set clear expectations for device management and regular use of technology;
Confirm 100% of teachers in One-to-One Schools use Google Classroom (or comparable online platform) to share student work;
Require that most students are engaged in activities using SMART Learning Suite and/or other digital tools;
Students and Teachers should access digital textbooks, when available, via clever.pgcps.org.
Develop lessons and activities with impactful use of technology.
