Each student will be required to review their GNA during the school year to understand their progress toward graduation. Parents/guardians will also receive a copy of their student’s GNA at the parent/guardian email address on file with the school.
A GNA (Graduation Notification Agreement) is an important document that outlines the graduation requirements established by Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) and the State of Maryland.
The GNA provides an individualized snapshot of each student’s progress toward earning a Maryland High School Diploma. It includes:
The 22 credits required for graduation
Courses and credits the student has already completed
Courses and credits the student is currently enrolled in
Courses and credits the student still needs to complete before graduation
State testing requirements and the student’s testing status
Service Learning Hours completed
The GNA helps students and families clearly understand what has been completed and what is still needed for graduation.
Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to review the GNA carefully and contact the student’s school counselor with any questions or concerns about graduation progress.
