BRAG SHEET and How to Obtain a Letter of Recommendation

Brag Sheet Instructions

Students should complete the Brag Sheet in its entirety and submit it to their Professional School Counselor when requesting a Letter of Recommendation.

Students are also encouraged to provide a copy of their completed Brag Sheet to any teachers they have personally asked to write a Letter of Recommendation.

Take your time when completing your Brag Sheet! Your responses should be thoughtful, purposeful, detailed, and reflective. The more information you provide, the better your recommender can highlight your strengths, accomplishments, character, experiences, goals, and unique qualities.

Remember: Your recommender can only write about what they know. A thorough Brag Sheet helps them write a strong, personalized, and meaningful Letter of Recommendation that tells your story!
