ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The PGCPS Science and Technology Program (S/T) is a rigorous four-year high school course of study that provides broad and intensive college-level academic experience, with content and application focused on science, mathematics, pre-engineering, and technology.
Students in S/T are required to obtain a minimum of thirteen (13) credits in mathematics, engineering, research,and science courses. External experience is a major component of the program, enrollment in dual enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and completion of exams is strongly encouraged, and completion of a Research Practicum is mandatory. A PGCPS Board of Education Certificate of completion will be awarded to each student who completes the minimum 13 Science and Technology credits, meets the minimum requirements for high school graduation, maintains a minimum four-year cumulative quality point average of 2.5, and completes the senior research practicum.
