Student of the Month
Student of the Month is a school wide initiative designed to promote positive student behavior and reward achievements. Children must have no unexcused tardies/ absences, submit all homework, follow school/ classroom rules, be kind to others, and exhibit other characteristics of a good citizen. I chose the first Student of the Month but now the children vote for Student of the Month and the child with the most votes wins. This helps build a positive classroom climate and puts the power in the hands of the children.
