Standard 4- Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

Assessment and evaluation were a big part of my internship as I serve on the initial evaluation team conducting assessment and evaluation for families entering our program. The focus this year has been about learning the differences in evaluation and assessment and separating them for efficiency in the initial process. To address the curriculum and instruction portion of this standard, I continued mentoring a new teacher who transitioned into a toddler group setting this school year. I observed him in the classroom and during home based sessions and provided feedback on adaptations for activities so that they are more appropriate for our young students.
