Mrs. Hill, Library Media Specialist
Welcome to the Friendly High School Virtual Media Center!
My name is Mrs. Hill and I am so excited to be your media specialist at Friendly High School! Working with students to help them fall in love with reading and technology is my passion. I hope to help you enjoy learning, too!
When I am not working with students, teachers, and parents at Friendly High School, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a wonderful husband and three happy, super active sons. My sons are 17, 14, and 8-years-old. There is never a dull moment in the Hill household!
I have had several experiences in education that I share with Friendly High School. I earned a B.S. degree in Business Education and a M.S. in Instructional Technology with a concentration in Computers from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. (Aggie Pride!) I also earned an Ed.S. from Liberty University in Curriculum & Instruction. (Go, Flames!) To obtain Maryland Library Media certification, I attended McDaniel College. (Go, Green Terrors!) I have also taught in three different states and now I am glad to call Maryland home!
My philosophy as an educator is that all students have the ability to learn and the potential to be great! My students are constantly reminded of "who they are." No matter where they go, they are some of the smartest people in the room! Someone else may know a lot about one particular subject, but there is at least one topic that you know a great deal about. What does that mean? You have knowledge to offer and if you work together with others you can accomplish greatness!
Each day, my goal is to make the life of at least one other person better. I hope to help you achieve your goals through learning, reading, and technology when you visit the media center!
