Welcome to the Friendly High School Virtual Media Center!
Friendly High School Library
Mission & Vision:
The mission of the library media program at Friendly High School is to ensure that students, staff, and parents are effective users of ideas and information.
The vision of the Friendly High School library program is to be a “LIBRARY OF EXCELLENCE” where students are equipped to soar academically, socially, and emotionally. We envision a library program where the media specialist, students, teachers, and parents work collaboratively to enjoy the benefits of an inviting atmosphere that allows all stakeholders to change, grow, and develop both academically and personally.
The Friendly High School Media Center serves approximately 800 students. Each class that visits the media center weekly can look forward to learning the following:
The joy of spending time with great books
How to love reading for a lifetime
The way libraries are organized
Selecting nonfiction and fiction books for knowledge as well as enjoyment
Information, technology, and research skills
Your media specialist Mrs. Hill manages a collection of 5,233 books and other sources of information. There is a professional collection available for teachers and many online databases to help stakeholders learn.
