STOCK MARKET GAME INFORMATION:

Thank you for attending the Stock Market Game training last week. It was a pleasure to provide you with information about getting started with the Stock Market Game (SMG). We also have an exciting opportunity for the Personal Finance teachers in Prince Georges County that we will be sharing with you in the next couple of weeks!

As promised, below you will find details about accessing materials and signing up for the game:

• Sign up for an account with the Maryland Council on Economic Education at https://econed.org/. You will receive information related to your content area about upcoming events, training sessions, and useful resources.

• Access the Stock Market Game Teacher Support Center using the following username and password. Once you sign up your students, you will receive your own login information.

  • Team Login ID: MD_22_ZZ65 Password: ALX13459

• To sign up for the game, go to the SMG Registration page.

• Access resources specifically for elementary teachers, high school teachers or middle school teachers from the MCEE website (login is required) . These are the same resources found in the Teacher Support Center; however, you will find documents both Word and as PDFs. Plus, on the MCEE website there is additional resources available including helpful hints from teachers, videos for teachers and students, as well as documents that you can use in your classroom.

• You might find the Towson University field trips to of interest to your students.

• The SMG Essentials Mini Lesson Videos that I referenced can be found here.

• Attached is the presentation that was used during the session.
