Research Practicum (RP) is a course designed to support students through their development of an original STEM base research project. Students may design a project in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering or computer science. Students will be provided with teacher guidance and rubrics to assist with completing the components of RP. All RP students will complete the following major assignments.
A Five-Chapter Research Paper
Science Fair Board and Participation
Research Symposium Poster and Participation
End of the Year in Class Presentation
Students may apply for an internship in the fall of their junior year. Students that are not selected for participation in the internship program may still secure an internship independent of the school. Additional information regarding internships is located in the S/T Program Planner. Internship locations are subject to change.
