Comprehensive Checklist

(Requirements Needed for the Science and Technology Certificate)

Students need a minimum of 13 credits to satisfy the requirements for the Science and Technology Certificate.

How are the thirteen (13) credits broken down?

1. Science and Technology Core Courses (6 credits)

2. Math (4 credits) - Students must earn one (1) math credit all four years with the final senior math course at least the level of Pre-Calculus Honors

3. Advanced Science and Technology STEM) Courses (3 to 4 minimum credits)

a. Students who complete Biology S/T in 9th grade will need a minimum of 3 credits

b. Students who complete Chemistry S/T in 9th grade will need a minimum of 4 credits

c. At least ONE of the three advanced STEM courses must be an Advanced Placement course in order to fulfill the Science and Technology requirement.
