EECH provides affordable comprehensive, preventive and primary healthcare and dental

services at our two convenient locations in northeast Washington, DC and College Park,

Maryland.

In order to fulfill our mission to reduce or eliminate barriers to receiving healthcare EECH brings

services to those in need through our Outreach Program. The foundation of a successful

Outreach Program is communication and organization.

MEDICAID ELIGIBILITY

The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) provides Medical Assistance, also called Medicaid, coverage to individuals and families determined by their needs and income.  Eligibility depends on family size and income.  The annual income limit is about $21,200 for a family of three.  A family may also be categorically eligible if already receiving public assistance such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) or foster care.  Eligibility for Medicaid is usually determined every 12 months. 

Medical Assistance will provide free health services including:

•  Low-cost or free prescriptions;

• Doctor visits;

•  Emergency room visits;

• Hospital stays;

• X-ray and lab services; and, Many other services.
