Once the initial 39-player field per division is selected, everyone who wasn't selected goes onto a waitlist. The Selection Committee will then rank the remaining eligible applicants based on the same criteria used for the initial selection:

1. Handicap/index

2. Club championship story/experience

3. Representation across PGA Sections

4. Timing of their club championship

5. Previous participation

6. Overall strength of application

In doing this, we are trying to identify the strongest and most representative field possible.
