Shout-out to Our Summer Custodial Heroes
A big thank you to our custodial team for the incredible work they’re doing this summer. From waxing floors to washing carpets and deep cleaning every corner, your hard work is essential to getting our schools ready for fall. We couldn’t do it without you!
Don’t forget to nominate a coworker who’s going above and beyond. It’s a great way to recognize the amazing efforts happening every day.
Wishing you and your families a safe and enjoyable 4th of July, you’ve earned it!
We dedicate this section to the employee who has gone above and beyond in their duties.
Thank you for being a positive role model of the department!
Jacqueline also known as Jackie, is a kind and hardworking person who always shows up with a positive attitude.
She is the kind of teammate who is always ready to help, no matter what needs to be done. She goes above and beyond, supports everyone around her, and treats people with fairness and respect.
Her effort and energy make a big difference every day. We are proud she is part of our team!
Do you know someone who needs to be recognized for their hard work?
I know we do! The nomination form is open to all staff. (Click button below)
Nominations will close the 15th of every month to give the committee enough time to review and announce in the Custodial Connect Newsletter.

The main goals are to improve cleaning quality, keep everyone safe, help staff learn new skills, and build team spirit.

Maria Barrientos, who often goes by "Lupita" has been working with Pflugerville ISD for about 7 years.
She is proudly from McAllen, Texas, where she claims they have the best food. She enjoys listening to music and attending live concerts, her favorite being, Los Traileros.

Ernesto Garcia, also known as "Ernie" first began working with us during COVID. In his 5 years with Pflugerville ISD he has helped cover just about every campus.

Hendrickson HS Lead
Hey, my name is Cayce Hartley, Lead Custodian of Hendrickson High School. I’m from Portland, Texas. I just recently received the Employee of the Year award and have been with Pflugerville ISD since 2024. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, my partner and my kids. I like exploring new places to eat, and I like woodworking and painting.
Bohls MS Lead
Rosario Montero, or "Charito" has been with Pflugerville ISD for 12 years. About 2 years ago she became the Bohls Middle School lead, which she states was out of her comfort zone but worth it.
In her spare time she enjoys watching a good action/drama movie or listening to music.
