I want to start by apologizing for missing the August newsletter. I was out on medical leave. This experience reminded me just how important it is to prioritize our well-being, both mentally and physically.
As the cleaning force of this district, we play a vital role in creating safe, healthy environments for our students and staff. To continue doing that effectively, we must first take care of ourselves. Our health and wellness matter not just for the job, but for you and your families.
Let’s also take a moment to celebrate the outstanding work being done across our team. Join me in recognizing our Employees of the Month for their outstanding dedication, and help us give a warm welcome to our new staff members. Your hard work, commitment, and positive attitudes make a difference every single day.
Thank you for all you do, and let’s continue to support one another and make well-being a priority.
We dedicate this section to the employee who has gone above and beyond in their duties.
Thank you for being a positive role model for the department!
Mai Khanh is our well-deserved August Employee of the Month. On top of always making sure the campus looks clean and presentable for the students, she ensures that it is done with a positive attitude.
She always shows up to work ready to tackle on the day. We appreciate you!
Silvia is our September Employee of the Month! Her attention to detail does not go unnoticed. She is super responsible, always on top of things, and makes sure the school stays clean, safe, and looking great every single day.
We’re so lucky to have her on our team, we appreciate you!
Do you know someone who needs to be recognized for their hard work?
I know we do! The nomination form is open to all staff. (Click button below)
Nominations will close the 15th of every month to give the committee enough time to review and announce in the Custodial Connect Newsletter.
We’ve recently welcomed several amazing new team members to our department, and even more are on the way! Let’s give them a big, warm welcome and help them settle in. We’re thrilled to have them on board and can’t wait to see the great things we’ll accomplish together!

Now that we are back in to our students in session routine, here are a few reminders about caring for our washers and dryers on campus.
Remember that custodial washers and dryers should only be used by custodial staff for custodial services.
Quick Tips for Proper Care:
Do not wash all mops and rags together, sort laundry for sanitary purposes.
Remove extra dust by sweeping the dust mops before washing.
Clean out lint filter in the dryer after drying time is complete.
Report any issues to your lead or supervisor.
💭 Remember that proper care and maintenance of our equipment helps it run smoother and last longer. Clean properly after use and be sure to use all appropriate filters and accessories.
