Criteria/Eligibility:
Applicant is a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (“D.C.”) who is at least 16 years of age and no older than 24 years of age, located in the United States or D.C.
- If an applicant is a minor in his/her/their state of residence they must receive parental consent from his/her/their parent/legal guardian to apply.
Applicant must be on-track to apply for or enrolled in an accredited post-high school/post-secondary educational program (including accredited two-and four-year colleges, universities, vocational-technical and trade schools).

Minimum accumulated Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00 or above in most recent school.
This scholarship is intended to provide a helping hand for young people who face special challenges in achieving educational or career advancement or in obtaining conventional educational scholarships. Applicants who have suffered financial hardship; difficult family or housing situations; or who have made poor personal decisions but demonstrate they are rehabilitated and willing to accept responsibility for their own future (certification of at least 12 months of recovery must be proven); or who have learning disabilities that may hamper them academically but do not prevent them from pursuing educational and career objectives. The Committee is looking for those who have demonstrated the determination to complete school with improving grades.
To qualify for a grant, an applicant must be applying to an accredited trade or vocational school, junior college, college or university in California.
There is no limitation on eligible recipients based upon sex, race, or religion.
Recipients shall be U.S. Citizens by birth or naturalization.

Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors, Santa Rosa Junior College students or continuing four-year college students who have or will have a major in Agriculture or an Agriculture-related field.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required for all scholarship applicants for the 2021 year. Students must have met the previous minimum of a 2.75 cumulative GPA requirement in the prior application year to qualify with the adjusted GPA minimum.
Farm Bureau Foundation scholarships are available only to undergraduate students.

Criteria/Eligibility:
Scholarships will be available to men and women graduates of any one of the Sonoma County high schools including Charter Schools and Home Schools.
Recipient must enroll in college in the fall of 2020 in a course leading to a degree in Agriculture (e.g., Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Architecture,Forestry, Floriculture, Pomology, Viticulture, Soil Science, Entomology). Other related studies such as Animal Husbandry will be considered at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
Selection will be based upon the following:
Course objective
Participation in school activities and clubs (e.g. 4-H, FFA, Youth Community Organizations, etc.).
Scholarship
Selected finalists will be interviewed at the discretion of the scholarship committee of the Men’s Garden Club.
