Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.

Gmail

All students in grades 3-12 have a school-issued email address. Students email address follow this format: firstname.lastname@perucsd.org

Students in grades 3-5 have access to "in-house" email only. This means they can only send and receive emails from perucsd.org addresses.

Google Calendar

Google calendar is embedded in Google Classroom and Gmail. Students can manage their calendar easily from both platforms. Accessing the calendar through Google Classroom will provide students with a snap-shot view of ALL assignments and their due dates.

Google Meet

Google Meet is the recommended platform for virtual meetings for the Peru Central School District. The platform is embedded in G-Suite and allows students to join virtual meetings with their classroom teachers.

Kami

Kami is the leading PDF & document annotation app for schools. Kami assignments will be posted through Google Classroom and allow students and teachers to write on documents.

SchoolTool

SchoolTool is the student information system used by our district. This web-based service is used by faculty and staff to keep track of attendance, discipline, report grades, etc. In addition to faculty and staff access, the service offers a Parent Portal, which allows parents to view data on their children.

Zoom

ZOOM is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing. Some teachers in our District have opted to use the Zoom platform based on some different features that the platform offers.

Seesaw

Seesaw is a platform for student engagement. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. It’s simple to get student work in one place and share with families, and nothing is shared without teacher approval.

Minecraft Education Edition

Minecraft: Education Edition is an open-world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your imagination. Educators around the world use Minecraft: Education Edition to engage students across subjects.
