We have noticed over the past few years that Chromebooks can be a little bit glitchy at times. Below is a list of some issues that we have noticed and a possible solution. If you experience continued/ongoing issues, please complete the tech support form linked HERE.
Chromebook does not turn on: This can happen periodically. Sometimes the Chromebook needs to be replaced, but sometimes it does not. Try plugging the Chromebook in and pressing the power button. This may need to be done even if the Chromebook is fully charged.
Updating a Chromebook: Chromebooks will update automatically when they are powered on and off again. Restart the Chromebook periodically to ensure that updates are being applied.
Chromebook will not load webpages: We have seen this issue with both models of Chromebook. If you experience this issue, please reach out to Nick Damiani, so the Chromebook can be reset from our Google Management System.
The camera is not functioning: We have seen this issue on the Acer Chromebooks. If the camera is not loading, please complete the tech support form linked in the description of this page.
Unable to sign Into the Chromebook offline: This issue will happen if the Chromebook has not been connected to the internet in while. It will need to have a strong connection, so we recommend connecting on campus or another public location.
