A quiet room at the H.S. and at Edison set up with sensory, calming stations, where students will learn relaxation and breathing techniques that will be reinforced with HeartMath Technology.
The room will be staffed with a school counselor or counseling intern.
Students may request to come or may go with their class on a scheduled orientation.
Students will be coached to use a breathing procedure to help them relax.
Biofeedback device coupled with software from HeartMath with reinforce the breathing.
Once complete students will report back to class.
Our goal is for the lab to be accessible to students as needed during school hours and for visits to last around 15 minutes.
