Internship provides work experience for which students receive high school credit. It offers students the opportunity to be employed and receive credit for learning from satisfactory job performance. It is hoped that this experience will help develop a positive attitude and promote an understanding of the relationship between formal education and job success through supervised, part-time employment as part of the students’ total school program. This experience lasts from one semester to one school year. Students will receive 5 credit hours for each semester they successfully complete an acceptable internship experience.
Prior to registering for Internship periods, you must:
August 4th (scheduling): Meet with Mrs. Einspahr/Mrs. Soper while registering for classes to pick up an application.
August 15th (2nd day of school, in the library): Read this handbook in its entirety and have all parties sign where appropriate.
August 18th-28th (the first week and a half of school): This will be your "job shadow experience." You will need to write a reflection about your experience.
August 29th (the last school day in August): Mock interview. Bring a rough draft of your resume. Check your email for more information.
