Students in Advanced Placement, STEM, and Honors courses will be responsible for separate assignments that are specifically aligned to course content they will experience throughout the course. Students will be given assignments for Honors Biology, STEM Biology, AP Biology, Honors Chemistry, STEM Chemistry, and AP Environmental Science that consist of reading chapters, reviewing skills (i.e. practicing unit conversions or graphing), answering questions, researching science topics, preparing for the upcoming class (obtaining supplies and organizing them), developing solutions to authentic real-world problems, design experiments, etc. These items are a review of content that they are expected to know by the end of their previous course. Additionally, students should review previous science topics. Students are expected to provide thoughtful and careful evidence of their work and present this to their teachers in September. Students will be graded on their assignments the first week of school. Teachers may give students a quiz based on their summer material. All documents related to summer assignments are linked below. For any questions please contact Kristen Mallet, Supervisor of Science & Allied Health at kristen.mallet@pequannock.org.
