Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation

We want students to be motivated, but building their ability to be intrinsically motivated is important. It is at this point they can self-motivate to do well and learn. It may require modeling from teachers and start as extrinsic motivation and hopefully, turn into intrinsic motivation.
