Florida Virtual School

Pensacola Catholic High School students are eligible to use Florida Virtual School (FLVS) for enrichment and remediation purposes. Interested students should seek assistance and direction from Guidance when considering enrollment in an FLVS course. This will ensure that the student is eligible to utilize FLVS, meets needed course prerequisites and understands the responsibilities that a student must undertake when utilizing FLVS as a resource.

Step 1

Chat with Guidance and learn what FLVS courses to browse and discuss your choices with your school and/or family.

Step 2

Confirm you have taken any required prerequisites.

Step 3

Create a FLVS Flex account and sign up for courses.

Step 4

Alert Guidance to your request and selection for school. Guidance will need to approve the course request.

Step 5

Review the tech requirements for FLVS and watch the Quick Start Videos on the student Homepage.

Step 6

Provide Proof of Residency and await for class assignment. Once assigned, work with your FLVS teacher to choose a pace that's right for you.

Proof of Residency (POR)

Florida Virtual School (FLVS)  is required to confirm Florida residency for all students enrolled in and FLVS course. Students must submit approved proof of residency to be eligible. Private school students have 30 days after their course request is approved to upload their Proof of Residency document for verification and avoid withdrawal.

Please note that students are not required to submit POR on a yearly basis. Examples of approved Proof of Residency documents are listed below. All documents must be dated within 30 days from course registration or newer, must be in the name of the parent/guardian listed on the FLVS student's  account, and include the current home address associated with the student's account.

If proof of residency is not provided within 30 days of the counselor course verification, the student's enrollment will be withdrawn.
