Welcome!

Starting Kindergarten is an exciting time for you and your child. My goal as a Kindergarten teacher this year is to enhance your child’s love for learning and excitement for school. I hope to help your child transition to Kindergarten smoothly.  I realize that there may be many concerns about your child's first year of formal schooling. I hope to ease those worries and hopefully make your child feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, help, and understanding this year.  

Open-House 2024 

(tentatively) Monday, August 19, 2024 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM

AM presentation at 5:30 PM & PM presentation at 6:30 PM

Paper copies of the pages below will be given out at Open-House.  

If you cannot attend Open-House please read the Kindergarten Info for Parents and complete either AM or PM Info for the Teacher Form as it pertains to your child's session.

School Supplies:  

• a regular school sized backpack 

• headphones in a gallon size zipper style baggie with your child's name clearly written on it.  Please make sure your child is capable of putting them on/in and understands what they are used for before school starts. Headphones will remain at school and be sent home at the end of the year.

• That's it! Please do not send in anything else.  I will take care of the rest!

• I do not permit students to bring toys to school.

School Supplies Needed at home for Homework:

• glue sticks

• pencils 

• crayons 

• child size pair of scissors 

• possibly a pencil case to store them in

I will provide these supplies needed at school:

• take-home folder 

• crayons 

• scissors 

• pencils, erasers 

• crayons

• pencil case

Donation Suggestions:

• For the classroom:  Kleenex, small (dixie) cups, disinfectant wipes, regular and small paper plates, paper towels

• For the nurse: new or gently used freshly washed clothing (including underwear and socks) for ages 5 to 12.  These donations will help provide a change of clothes when students have toileting or spilling accidents in school.
