Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs)
FIDs mean school is closed and your child will need to attend remotely via Google Meet on their iPad.
Information about a specific FID will be noted under the Stream page which is the landing page when your student is logged into the Google Classroom. Some online materials may also be posted in the Google Classroom under the Classwork tab which will appear at the bottom of your child's iPad.

Dr. Horvat will email families more information about remote learning schedules which Kindergarten will follow should the district call for a remote learning day (usually due to bad weather).
When your child is participating live, we will use Google Meet.
Click on the Google Classroom icon on the iPad.
Then click the Google Meet icon or JOIN under the Google Meet icon to join the live sessions.
Live viewing should be done in a quiet area away from noise or distractions with microphones muted so the student can focus as well as for your own personal privacy.
I will send home a folder with packets that will be used only for remote learning days. I will post which packet that we will be doing for that day in the Google Classroom prior to the live session for your convenience. If your child is unable to attend the live session, the assigned work still needs to be completed and returned to school the next school day, otherwise your child will be marked absent and an absence excuse will need to be sent to school.
