Intermediate Band (Second Year Members)

Students have the opportunity to continue band in fifth grade in the Pennsbury School District. Students who decide in fifth grade that they would like to learn an instrument may also sign up at the same time as fourth grade beginners and would be part of the Beginner Band. Intermediate Band students earn additional opportunities for performances such as the Elementary Honors Band (check the page from our menu above for information), trips to perform, and more challenging music!

The schedule for our fifth grade band members is the same as it was for their first year of band instruction.

Our students receive 30 minute lessons every five days within our five-day rotation that can be found HERE.

Students participate in the 30 minute lesson with students who play the same instrument (example: all beginner flutes, all beginner trombones, etc.). In addition this this, students will come together in the spring to form a full concert band and perform during our Spring Concert season.
