Was ist das? The purpose of PHS Deutschklub is to foster a dynamic and inclusive community for students interested in the German language, culture, and history. It offers a platform for students to practice speaking German and organize events that expand knowledge of German traditions. Some activities include Filmabend, Klassenausfluege (Philly Weihnachtsmarkt, Brauhaus Schmitz, etc.), Kaffee Klatsch oder Stammtisch at local restaurants, festivals/celebrations like Oktoberfest and Karneval, crafts (i.e. gingerbread houses, ornaments, cards, etc.) and many fundraisers which help us donate to our GAPP Scholarship Fund with the purpose of making international experiences more accessible by reducing or eliminating the financial barriers associated with travel for students in need. During GAPP exchange years, we plan activities to interact with our German friends from Oldenburg, Germany. Alle sind willkommen!!!
Wann treffen wir uns? Our first German Club meeting will be MONTAG, DEN 15. SEPTEMBER from 3:00-3:30 pm. Other meeting dates include: 6. & 27. Oktober, 17. November, 1. & 1. Dezember, 12. & 26. Januar, 9. & 23. Februar, 2. & 23. Maerz, 20. & 27. April, 11. Mai und 1. Juni!
