Students in grades 4-12 are eligible to participate in the District’s 1:1 device program. In order to participate, students are required to purchase an annual Technology fee. The annual cost of the coverage plan is $40.00 (reduced to $15 for financial hardship). Learn more for information about Technology Fees. Only two students participating in the 1:1 device program in a household should be charged the yearly fee. Parent/guardians must fill out the "Technology Fee Waiver for Three or More 1:1 Students in Household" form located in MyPowerHub Forms to request an exemption from the fee for additional students in their household.
The protection plan does NOT provide coverage for:
The loss of the device and/or its accessories
Cosmetic damage, damages caused by intentional misuse and/or abuse, or excessive accidental damages.
Parents/Guardians will be responsible for the full cost of device replacement ($250.00) if it is determined that damage has been caused by intentional abuse and/or misuse or the device is lost or stolen, and $20 for a lost or intentionally abused and/or misused charger.
This device will need to be returned upon graduation or withdrawing from the district.
The district has installed Internet filtering software that cannot be removed from the device. The district will solely determine what is filtered. Please understand that it is impossible for the Pennsbury School District to restrict all potentially inappropriate materials, and by participating in the Pennsbury 1:1 Device program you will not hold the District responsible for materials accessed with a district device.
The terms of the 1:1 Device Agreement are covered under the Pennsbury Student Conduct policy.
