Families are required to purchase a non-refundable $40 yearly fee for each 1:1 device per school year to supply the family with device protection. In order to be cost conscious for families with multiple students in a household, only two students in the household will be charged the yearly fee. The insurance plan will be reduced to $15 per year for each Chromebook for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch. To apply for the multi-student in household discount for three or more students participating in the 1:1 program, please fill out the Technology Device Fee Waiver for Three or More Students in a Household form in the Forms section of your MyPowerHub (PowerSchool Parent Portal) account.
What does the Technology Device Annual Fee Cover?
Unintentional spilled liquid damage
Unintentional breakage, drops or falls (one incident per school year)
Devices that are accidentally damaged while in the custody of the student will be repaired once annually at no cost to the parent/guardian.
All additional repairs will be at the student’s parent/guardian's expense.
In the event that the device is lost or stolen while in the custody of the student, the student and parent/guardian agree that they are responsible to the School District for the entire replacement cost.
How to Pay for your Annual Technology Fee:
You may pay your Technology device fee online through the district’s MyPowerHub (previously PowerSchool Parent Portal). Contact the main office for students in Grades 1 through 5, or the Guidance office for students in Grades 6 through 12 for assistance accessing MyPowerHub. Please note: Fees in MyPowerHub are located under Resources.
MyPowerHub (PowerSchool Parent portal) is the most secure and accurate method for making payments and the recommended method of payment. In the event that you are unable to make an online payment, cash, check or money order will be accepted at each student's individual school. Checks and money orders should be made payable Pennsbury School District, with the student's name and ID number included. Please do not bulk payments for students that are not in the same school building. Please reach out to your student’s Guidance Counselor for assistance if you are experiencing financial difficulties.
