Instead of using a plastic bag you can tell your parents to buy a reusable bag. Did you know at the store Whole Foods they give you 5 cents every time you bring a reusable bag? If you can't buy a reusable bag save your plastic bags and use them again to hold things. There are some places where you can bring plastic bags and they will recycle them because most places nothing gets recycled even if you recycle it. One place to go is Acme.

Instead of using a plastic bottle you can buy a reusable one and fill it up yourself. It saves money and it helps the earth! It is okay to use a plastic bottle every once in a while but please try not to. Sometimes you can not get your favorite drink but please try to be flexible. Coffee cups are bad too so if you go to a coffee shop bring a reusable mug.

Plastic straws
Plastic straws are not worth buying because you can buy metal straws or no straws at all. If you are at a restaurant and they are going to give you a plastic straw say NO! There are also paper straws, bamboo straws, but let's not forget metal straws!!!!!!! Tell your parents to stop using straws or to buy a different type of straw! If you get a bamboo straw then you have to boil it in hot water.
