Sri Lanka has stoped using styrofoam and China is using biodegradable bags.
In California, the state government has banned plastic straws and New York has banned plastic bags.

This is what some people are doing to help:
- picking up plastic trash
- organizing a beach clean-up
- not using single-use plastics
- recycling what can be recycled
- reusing what can't be recycled

- black/dark colored plastics
- recyclables that have food or grease on them(it will contaminate the entire batch)
- recyclables that have water/liquids in it
