This application will be useful for students to practice with their online calculator. The calculator that they see in desmos is similar in most respects to the four function calculator which they will be using during standardized testing.
Engage NY is the curriculum that North Carolina follows most closely. Additionally, the lessons that your student will see in Zearn are modeled after this curriculum. There are resources that will help tutors, and parents address the content that their student will be seeing in 5th Grade.
Khan Academy is a free learning platform that provides in-depth instructional videos covering all mathematical topics that your student will experience throughout the entirety of their math education.
Multiplication.com provides students with interactive games that help students make better sense of the math that they are learning. This is a great resource for those parents that are looking for ways to engage their child in math, while also trying to meet their desire for a fun activity.
