To help create a welcoming, age-appropriate experience for our Lower School students, Extended Day will be organized into the following cohorts:
Kindergarten
1st–2nd Grade
3rd–5th Grade
Each group will enjoy a balance of engaging activities, creative play, games, outdoor time when weather permits, and opportunities for free play and connection with friends.
We are excited to partner with families to help Extended Day feel like a positive extension of the school day. We ask families to reinforce the same expectations for kindness, respect, and responsibility that students practice throughout the Pembroke Hill school day.
A few important Extended Day expectations include:
Keeping hands, feet, and objects to ourselves
Using kind and respectful words
Asking an Extended Day teacher before leaving the group or moving to another area, including restroom breaks
Following directions during snack, activities, and transitions
Treating Extended Day games, toys, materials, and shared spaces with care
Playing safely and asking an adult for help when a game or situation becomes too rough or competitive
Our goal is to work together with families to support students in making positive choices. When behavioral concerns arise, Extended Day staff will communicate with parents regularly so that we can partner together, reinforce expectations, and help students have a successful experience in the program.
Thank you for helping us create an Extended Day community where every student feels safe, included, and ready to have a great afternoon!

Raider Ready is about more than being prepared for the day — it’s also about being ready to make great choices. Throughout Auxiliary Programs, students are encouraged to follow the Raider Pledge by showing respect, kindness, responsibility, and safe behavior. We remind students to keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves, use respectful words and actions, follow staff directions, and ask permission before leaving an assigned area. Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming environment where every Raider feels safe, included, and ready to learn, play, create, and grow.
Our Auxiliary Programs bio page is currently being updated. Check back soon to meet the team behind our programs!
