Why am I at Degree Partners?: I am currently pursuing my own degree, but I am also here to provide any academic support you might need. Think of me as a brain buddy; we can talk through schoolwork,  instructions, feedback together. Talking through our thoughts out loud can be incredibly helpful. You are the driver, I am a passenger on this college journey. One interesting thing about me is: I am mother of 2 amazing kiddos.

Why am I at Degree Partners?: Degree Partners offers a unique pathway for students to pursue a college degree while providing individual and community support. I have a passion for helping others, and my past experiences as a high school math teacher and college counselor inspired me to pursue a career in higher education. As a College Completion Coach, I am gratefully for the opportunity to be part of students’ support networks as they continue their educational goals. One interesting thing about me is: A fun fact is that enjoy tennis and volleyball. I played tennis in high school and learned to play volleyball in college through a kinesiology class.

Why am I at Degree Partners?: While I was College and Career Counselor at a high school in Austin Texas, I had a large group of students who's goals, aspirations, and trajectories didn't align with one of the 3 acceptable post secondary routes. As I learned about Degree Partners, how it is designed to support the non-traditional student, and be more flexible toward the individual, I knew I wanted to be involved with this organization that aims to make an impact on our communities. I have now been here for about 2 years and continue to be excited to learn alongside everyone involved with DP! One interesting thing about me is: I completed an Ironman and a marathon within 4 months of each other!

Why am I at Degree Partners?: I used to work with high schoolers to help and encourage them to go to college, but I noticed there was a gap in student advocacy for them in the higher education space, so I wanted to fill in that gap. I also wanted to advocate for students in an organization that also humanized them during their academic journey. DP and its students have made this a beautiful experience I imagined and more! One interesting thing about me is: I am a Haitian-American who is a classically trained singer!
