A Sun-Drenched Grand Finale: Christmas in Valencia 

"Sun, palm trees, and professional success – what better way to wrap up our international journey?" This December, we headed to Spain for the final chapter of our Erasmus+ project, Teaching Together in Europe.

After shivering in Poland and Ireland during previous stages of the project, Valencia felt like a dream. Stepping out of the Czech winter into the Spanish sun, where we needed t-shirts and sunglasses in December, was a total thrill. Seeing a massive Christmas spruce surrounded by palm trees and orange groves in the city square was a surreal but beautiful sight!

From Virtual Prep to Real-Life Impact

Even before we left, our ten talented students were busy. During their virtual mobilities, they fine-tuned their work plans and created specialized worksheets for the children in Valencia. When we finally arrived, they were ready to hit the ground running in renowned nurseries like La Escoleta Campanar, Virgen De Cortes, and Colegio Parroquial Don José Lluch.

Living the Spanish Life

Our team was right in the heart of the action. Whether they walked to work through the historic center or hopped on the metro, they fully embraced the local vibe. And the best part? After a busy day at school, the metro could take you straight to the beach for a sunset stroll!

Professional Excellence: "You’re Always Welcome Back!"

Our students put their hearts and souls into working with little ones like Carmen, Diego, and María. They led activities independently or in tandem with local teachers, even helping to prepare special Advent and Christmas projects.

• The Language Factor: Where English wasn't enough, Spanish (and translation apps!) saved the day. After all, learning is a lifelong journey.

• The Result: The feedback was incredible. The directors of the Spanish schools were so impressed that they gave our students an open invitation to return—either for another visit or for a permanent job!

Memories for a Lifetime

We are coming home with much more than just certificates. We are bringing back lifelong memories, new professional methods, and deep friendships from the sunny streets of Valencia.

Spain was the perfect "grand finale" to our European teaching adventure!
