Krakow: Learning Through Connection and Joy

"A journey that taught me as much about teaching as it did about the human heart." My time in Krakow was an incredible learning curve, filled with insights that I know will be invaluable in my future career.

Lessons from the Little Ones

I spent a lot of time working with the youngest children, which was eye-opening. I saw firsthand how much energy it takes to keep them safe and engaged, but I also witnessed the pure magic of the profession: the sparkle in a teacher's eyes when a child makes progress, or that simple, heartwarming moment when a toddler just wants a hug.

The "Green Class" became my second home, and the children there truly found a special place in my heart.

Teaching Across Borders

With the preschoolers, I stepped into the role of the teacher! I led a session where I taught them a few Czech basics—greetings and colors. I was genuinely surprised by how quickly they picked it up and was thrilled to see them having so much fun with a new language.

A Warm Polish Welcome

It wasn't just about the kids; the staff at the kindergarten were incredibly kind and welcoming. They went out of their way to build friendships with us and were genuinely curious about life in the Czech Republic. This mutual exchange of culture made the whole experience feel like a true partnership.

This internship taught me that while teaching can be challenging, the rewards—and the smiles—are worth every bit of effort.
