Matt Roberts (Program Director)

Matt is thankful for the opportunity to serve the community that helped raise him. As a child, Matt attended Peabody for grades K-6. Prior to becoming the Director of Expanded Learning Opportunities, Matt taught Special Education for 8 years at the elementary and high school levels (including four years at Peabody). Matt has Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from California Baptist University and an administrative services credential from the Santa Barbara County Education Office.

Gwen Patterson (Assistant Program Director)

Gwen has been at Peabody since 1994, first as a parent volunteer and then as an employee. She began working at Peabody full time in 2000 in multiple capacities. Her full time job is in the Special Education Department, as a Paraeducator II, for Santa Barbara Unified School District. Gwen's background is in early childhood education. She has worked in child care centers, family child care homes, as well as owning her own family child care home for 7 years prior to working at Peabody. She is CPR/First Aid Certified and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) trained.
