Some of my favorite pieces I've made of an original character of mine named Devon. :)

"Flight of the Silverbird" by Two Steps From Hell is an orchestral piece of program music that's supposed to depict the life of a silverbird: it's birth, it's growth, it's troubles, it's achievement of overcoming said troubles. This was the very song that made me want to play the flute back in fifth grade. Now a junior, I barely play the flute anymore, but the oboe, and it almost feels like I was a silverbird who grew up and faced obstacles. Somethings aren't meant for you, but there are other things that are a better fit. Everyone is unique, and there are things tailored to fit that uniqueness. I have not played a single note in my first band concert, and now I've gained the responsibilities of playing an instrument I haven't heard of until my freshman year.

The feeling of not being able to speak; a lack of social skills even if you're talking to a friend or someone you're familiar with. All I can do is listen, and it feels like that's what I'll forever be able to do.
