It is a personnel preparation grant from the Department of Education’s Office of Special Education programs to recruit, fund, advise, and mentor diverse scholars in the Orientation and Mobility and Visually Impaired Learner programs. This will help fill the need for 30 professionals across the Pacific Northwest, as well as Alaska and Hawaii to serve children with visual impairment, including those with additional disabilities.
